The 8,900
square foot store was remodeled in 1986 and enlarged to 15,500
square feet in 1991. All departments were expanded and deli,
video, and pharmacy departments were added. The north end
of the Cache Valley was seeing an unprecedented growth in
the early 1990's. This prompted the need for an even larger
food store.
In October
1994, the Badger's moved directly across the street and opened
their new 36,000 super store and renamed it Lee's MarketPlace.
The new store featured a made from scratch in-store bakery,
a sit-down deli, floral shop, and an expanded produce department.
The meat department included a butcher block and seafood section.
The second
Lee's MarketPlace opened in October 1999 on the northern end
of Logan near Utah State University. This 47,000 square foot
store features a food court with a deli department, made from
scratch-bakery, Charlie's Ice Cream, fresh meat and seafood
section and the valleys finest produce department. It also
includes a convenient pharmacy a full service floral department,
and Washington Mutual Bank inside the store.
In November
of 2005 Lee and Shari had finished the complete remodeling
of their Smithfield store. An addition of 12,000 square feet
was made. The store now features a drive-up Pharmacy, American
First Credit Union, FTD Full Service Floral, Charlie's Ice
Cream and new natural and organic food sections.
Lee and
Shari along with their great "team members" love
